Join one of the largest family events in Rochester—the GLK Ortho Kids Run! Registration is FREE!
Kids will run along the scenic Zumbro River trails toward a fun-filled finish line. Every participant receives a beverage from GPC and a custom finisher medal. Choose between the Kids 2K (1.2 miles) or the Kids 1K (0.6 miles)—a great way to kick off healthy habits at a young age and get kids excited about running!
A HUGE thank you to Rochester Public Schools—with over 30 teachers and the high school cross country team on the course, cheering and guiding runners every step of the way along the Zumbro River.

There is no time limit for the Kids Run.
MapMyRun does not show exact certified distances. Courses are certified to exact distances for each event.
2025 maps are accurate for the 2026 race. Any permitting adjustments to the course that may come up through the city of Rochester and MNDOT will be communicated to participants immediately.
Kids Packet Pick Up is hosted once before race weekend, and at the start line on race day! 2026 details added soon!

Registration changes are FINAL after Wednesday May 6, 2026. Please do not request changes or transfers after this date. If there is incorrect information on your registration after this timeline, there will be a help table at race day packet pick up where you can make adjustments. (I.E. age, name, etc.) SHIRT SIZES CANNOT BE CHANGED ON RACE DAY.
Parents can run with their registered child(ren).
Following the RRCA (Road Runners Club of America) guidelines, we do not permit strollers in any of our races as they increase the potential for injury to race participants and children. Due to the easy congestion of our trail system and the amount of people that participate in our Rochester event, strollers pose too high of a risk for injury.
Shirt exchange will be available at the finish line area post race. Shirt sizes may be exchanged at this time only. Unworn shirts only. Sizes are not guaranteed beyond what is selected during registration.
There is no bag drop for the kids race.
Race fees are nonrefundable and cannot be transferred to next year’s race or another event. Sorry, no exceptions. However, your registration can be transferred to another participant through May 6, 2026. See BIB TRANSFER
We highly recommend purchasing the event insurance in case of any scenarios that may arrive, including sickness, delays, weather race cancellations, etc. as the events are non-refundable
