Join one of the largest family events in Rochester—the GLK Ortho Kids Run! Registration is FREE and includes runner medal; there is an option to purchase a kids race shirt.
Online registration for the Kids Runs is closed!
You can still register at the Kids Run start line at Mayo Memorial Park.
Kids will run along the scenic Zumbro River trails toward a fun-filled finish line. Every participant receives a beverage from GPC and a custom finisher medal. Choose between the Kids 2K (1.2 miles) or the Kids 1K (0.6 miles)—a great way to kick off healthy habits at a young age and get kids excited about running!
A HUGE thank you to Rochester Public Schools—with over 30 teachers and the high school cross country team on the course, cheering and guiding runners every step of the way along the Zumbro River.

There is no time limit for the Kids Run.
MapMyRun does not show exact certified distances. Courses are certified to exact distances for each event.
Any permitting adjustments to the course that may come up through the city of Rochester and MNDOT will be communicated to participants immediately.
Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up:
– Wednesday before race weekend
– GLK Ortho South Location | 5:15–7:00PM
– Kids Run participants only
Additional Pick-Up Option:
– Available at the Kids Run start line in Mayo Memorial Park
– No Kids Run packet pick-up at the Chateau Theater

Registration changes are FINAL after Wednesday May 6, 2026. Please do not request changes or transfers after this date. If there is incorrect information on your registration after this timeline, there will be a help table at race day packet pick up where you can make adjustments. (I.E. age, name, etc.)
Parents can run with their registered child(ren).
Following the RRCA (Road Runners Club of America) guidelines, we do not permit strollers in any of our races as they increase the potential for injury to race participants and children. Due to the easy congestion of our trail system and the amount of people that participate in our Rochester event, strollers pose too high of a risk for injury.
No shirt exchange for the kids race.
There is no bag drop for the kids race.
